Marnock Lake Repairs
Southern Water are currently repairing the collapsed drain by the lake, as a result the paths around the lake are closed for safety reasons. We have been assured that any trees removed to facilitate the repair will be replaced.

What's Going on in the Park

Below are full details of our currently scheduled events. Events are added on a regular basis so make sure you check again soon!

Halloween Crafts

Sat 26th October: 2-4 pm

The Hub

Get the family into the spirit of Halloween with the Fiends of Grosvenor & Hilbert Park themed craft event.

  • This is a family friendly event, all are welcome. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

This FoGH event is free to attend, but donations are always welcome.

 

Fungal Foray

Sat 2nd November: 10.30-12.30 pm

The Hub

Discover the Park's fungi on this exploration & identification walk led by expert Keith Palmer.

  • This is a family friendly event, all are welcome. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

Limited tickets (£2.00) for this event will be available from 19th October 2024. FoGH members get exclusive access to tickets before they go on general release. If you are not currently a member and want early access to tickets you can join here.

 

FoGH Quiz with Fish & Chips

Sat 9th November: 7:00 for 7:30 start

The Hub

Join the Friends for a light hearted and fun evening of quizzing with a fish and chips supper thrown in! Tables of 6 would be ideal, but smaller groups welcome. Quizzing will start promptly at 7:30pm, please arrive in good time.

Please bring your own drinks.

    Santa in the City

    Sat 7th December: 2.00 pm

    The Hub

    A festive 3k fun run around the park to kick off Christmas.

    • This is a family friendly event, all are welcome. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

    FoGH are not the lead on this event, tickets can be obtained at Santa in the City

    Entry is £14.95 - each adult entrant will receive a Santa suit. Children (3-17) are free, but don't get the Santa suit.

     

    Christmas Carols

    Sun 8th December: 2.00-3.30 pm

    The Hub

    FoGH invite you to join us for this seasonal celebration at the Hub. Refreshments available - mulled wine, fruit juice & mince pies.

    The CREATE Community Choir will lead us in our singing.
